Charles Annis

Charles Annis is Vice President of Manufacturing Research at DisplaySearch. As one of DisplaySearch's leading experts, Annis is responsible for tracking and forecasting FPD investments and researching equipment, materials and process trends as well as analyzing emerging technologies. In addition to FPDs, Annis is also in charge of DisplaySearch’s photovoltaic market research activities.

Before joining DisplaySearch, Annis spent six years at leading AMLCD yield management provider Photon Dynamics (now Orbotech). There, he performed strategic planning and business development in addition to market research and product marketing for automated cell/module inspection tools. Prior to that, Annis served as the international business manager at SAMCO International, a semiconductor equipment manufacturer in Kyoto, Japan. Annis holds a Master's degree in business law from Ryukoku University in Kyoto and a Bachelor's degree from Pomona College in Claremont, California. His native language is English, and he is also fluent in Japanese.
