The NPD Group Expands Technology Analyst Business and Marketing Teams
New Hires Reinforce Commitment to Growing Global Client Base
Santa Clara, Calif., February 3, 2012—The NPD Group today announced significant expansions to its global technology analyst business and marketing teams in an effort to better support its growing global client base. Specifically, the company has added four market analysts—Riddhi Patel, Jimmy Kim, Steven Han and Jeffrey Song—as well as a new Director of Marketing, Raj Misra, PhD.

With more than 13 years of expertise in market research and analytics, consumer insights, and consulting, Riddhi Patel joined NPD DisplaySearch with extensive marketing, strategy formulation and analysis, and product marketing experience. She was previously Director of Television Systems at IHS iSuppli. She earned her MBA from South Gujarat University and a Bachelor of Science from Maharaja Sayajirao University. Steven Han is responsible for research and analysis of downstream PV market developments in the Greater China region for NPD Solarbuzz. As an analyst at NPD In-Stat, Jeffrey Song is responsible for market and industry research of digital entertainment, including connected TVs, Blu-ray players, video game consoles, and set top boxes (STBs) in China and Taiwan. Prior to joining NPD In-Stat, he worked at 3DiJoy, AverMedia, and INVENTEC. He has a Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and automation from Shandong University of Science and Technology. Raj Misra heads product marketing, brand strategy, and public relations for NPD DisplaySearch, In-Stat, and Solarbuzz. With more than 15 years of marketing leadership experience, his expertise covers all facets of integrated global marketing, including branding, market research, advertising, digital marketing, public relations, and competitive strategy. Raj has held marketing leadership positions at Microsoft, Pratt & Whitney, Chubb, and Fiat. He has an undergraduate degree in engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology and a doctorate in consumer marketing from the University of Texas at Austin.
