At DisplaySearch, our methodology is the foundation of our industry-leading information, analysis and forecasting. We are unique in that we always try to survey both the buyer and the seller of all products we cover. This is how DisplaySearch delivers timely, accurate industry data:
- We leverage our long-standing industry relationships to survey brands, OEMs and suppliers on a quarterly basis.
- We conduct extensive interviews with both buyers and sellers to gather historical pricing for products across the globe.
- We capture panel shipments for all types of applications, both regional and globally.
- Where possible, we create a bill of materials for products we cover to quantify and forecast retailer margins.
- We use proprietary models and our industry network to accurately forecast pricing.
- We leverage the resources of our parent company, The NPD Group, to compare sell-in and sell-through for all categories we cover.
- We leverage NPD's volume weighted average pricing information based on over 100 participating retailers.
