John Jacobs
John Jacobs is the Director of Notebook Market Research at DisplaySearch. He provides expert research and analysis of the notebook and mini-note/netbook markets, large-area panel pricing, and authors several DisplaySearch research reports. John has spoken at industry conferences in Asia, Europe, Latin America and North America. John’s insight and analysis is frequently quoted in the press, having appeared in the Wall Street Journal, Business Week, and numerous international publications.
Before joining DisplaySearch, John held the position of Global Supply Manager at Apple Computer where he was responsible for strategic sourcing decisions, pricing, negotiations and the investigation of emerging technologies for the company's flat panel display products. Under his watch, Apple's LCD product line grew from four systems to more than a dozen displays. Before Apple, he served as the Sales Business Analyst for Quantum. John holds Bachelor's and Master's degrees in psychology.
