Steven Sher is a well-known expert in the LED chip, package, and application field, with in-depth knowledge of backlights and lighting. As an analyst at DisplaySearch, he focuses on research of display materials and LEDs while contributing detailed market insights to the Quarterly LED Supply/Demand Market Forecast Report and Monthly LED Pricing Report.

Prior to joining DisplaySearch, Sher served as a senior manager at Wellypower Optronics Corporation (part of the AUO Group), a leading provider of performance light source products. He also has over 10 years of experience in R&D and production management at Bright LED Optronics Corporation and Wellypower Optronics Corporation.

Sher earned a master’s degree in Marine Environment and Engineering from the National Sun Yat-sen University and a bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering and Naval Architecture from the National Taiwan Ocean University.
